Remarks on the latest report from MedPlus Chief Technology Officer Tom Wagner, the Healthcare IT Subsidiary of Quest Diagnostics
The latest annual KLAS report, titled “SaaS EMR 2012: Is It For You?” has ranked 10 vendors based on interviews with healthcare providers currently using a Software as a Service (SaaS) electronic medical record (EMR) system.
For perspective, Care360 was not included in the rankings in 2011. However, in just one year, Care360 has moved up in the KLAS report as the number five overall system as referenced in the graphic below. As you can see, the top six vendors had overall scores within about five points of each other.
In the report, product response time was identified as one of the four most important factors of an EMR system. Consistent with the goal of Quest Diagnostics to serve physicians the best way possible, our Care360 team recently made significant upgrades to our infrastructure, to ensure that we are on the cutting edge of technology.
Additionally, we have dramatically improved Care360 system responsiveness, making it favorable in comparison to some of the other web-based solutions on the Internet, not just among EHRs. Our Care360 website response time (e.g., time to login) is now 0.405 seconds, much faster than the benchmark average of 5.6334, including that of well-known websites like Google, Facebook, YouTube and Amazon. Additionally, our iPad® app is not only visually appealing, but offers one of the most refined EHR user experiences in the industry.
We are very proud that Care360 is included in these KLAS rankings, and look forward to seeing the results of our ongoing improvements showing up in future KLAS rankings.
